My next food excursion had landed myself and my team indulging yet another truly hidden treasure here at Kepong. We visited Woo Ng Kee Restaurant at Taman Ehsan located at Kepong. Yes Kepong has amazing food outlet to be discovered. Woo Ng Kee has 60years in food with three generations of chefs in it’s record. First it started at Pudu roda side stalls nearby the historical Pudu Jail and relocated nearly 26years to Taman Ehsan.

First came a truly delicious home cooking dish named after a famous 70’s song “Mei Lan Mei Lan Woh Ai Nee” mei Lan Mei Lan I Love You. Simple and yet a delicious dish. It was cleverly dish out with the combination of refinely chopped sweet and salted preserved mustard cabbage over minced pork and young Kai Lan. Vey well dry wok fried. Very bold and fragrant. I just love it. Goes very well with a bowl of steamed white rice.

With 60 years of roasting experience, the roasted duck here at Woo Ng Kee will never go wrong. The meat was truly specteculatly succulent, tenderly soft. Covered with awesome lusty salted taste. The duck skin was delectable crispy. Definitely done to my likiing, a must order on my list.

” Che Pun Kau” Friends together yet another delicious light dish refinely done with pork knuckle. Braised with light spices and supreme sauce. Meaty and not overly with fats. Interesting with delight.

Woo Ng Kee Curry Fish is the talke of the town, a very well recieved dish. Definitely not a normal Indian curry powder curry. A milder curry powder in placed with a Chinese influenced. It’s signature is having the use of fresh thick coconut mild and present of fragrant belacan. Not too spicy and not too hot. It is special and delicious.

Thai Sek Far Chew Kai is a dual chicken dish that consist of roasted chicken and chicken with Thai chilli sauce. The chicken was really good in taste. Soft and tender in texture with crispy skin intact. anothe small portion of sweet chilli chicken. Very inspiring.

Wong Ng Kee Braised Mushroom. Peanut, Yam & Pork Belly

“Long Seng Sei Poh” yet another delicious and cleverly incoperated dish. Beneath laid a layer of chuncks of braised yam and pork with large peanuts covered with beancurd sheets, mushroom and top shell. It was a very flavoursoome dish. Very delighted in taste.
