I am on a food trail with Guinness St Patrick’s Day and the first stop was at Deutsches Gasthaus 5 located at Bandar Manjalara, Kepong. A nice stand alone building, modern and very chic. I was the last one to arrive for the dinner but I was on time . The place is easy to find, locate just nearby Tesco. I was well recieved by the host, Katherine. She was gorgeous.
I just love the comfi setting of this place, very lay back and relax. They were six of us dining that night Jennifer, Seet, Choi Yen, Alice, hubby and myself. I was told that we were going to taste a great exclusive menu from their kitchen and the chef plus the crew were a bit nervous on our feedbacks. Wow! Very intense! But we are always nice food critics.
Small cherry tomattoes gracy the day with such a light entrement, juicy and tasty. I just love how the taste combination of the thousand island and tomatoes. They both jived very well, not too sweet but perfect to my liking. Stuffing with coarsely chopped squid and prawn increased the taste of this dish. The Thousand Island Tomatoes with Mixed Seafood Filling is exciting.
Strong smell of bacon smell lingered around me with such lovely sweet taste. Yet the present of pan fried egg emerged intensively. It kept me memerized. Having a bacon omellete over a lecttuce can be so inviting. Very tasty and a great finger food.
OMG! I have not touched goulosh since I got back from abroad. I just love their dumplings, well you only can get two, my advice it will be prefect if there were three lol! so ask for addition one yeah. The souce was truly intensive and concerntrated while the beef was braised till tender and soft. I just love this dish. Got to tell you I had the dumplings wipe cleaned the plate. Deli-cious! A must have!
Nicely thick sliced of pork fillets were marching on the plate with slightly drenched intensify and concerntrated Guinness sauce was next to be forked into. I have tasted a lot of prok related dishes but this one, I was so convinced it was one of the best pork dish. It was soft, tender and totally ready for a perfect indulgence. It was totally spot on. Yet another wipe cleaned diah by not one but six og us. I can’t believe it myself. We were going nuts about this dish.
I felt like being a food inspector having to use my magnifying to observe on how gorgeous food here is being served and created. Next was something different than what I would have for my pork ribs. I usually had them BBQ with sweet honey sauce or even BBQ sauce but that night we had a very differebt version. We had it with a homemade Guinness sauce. It was not sweet as I usually have but it was done in brown sauce with a chinese influence way, I think. It was good and beautiful done. Ribs were soft and tender . The Guinness sauce truly intensuifed the whole dish. I like it, it is different. A must try.
