steamed lime fish
Thai Steamed Lime Fish

I was away for a day and I am back with more fooding around. This time I ate at a Thai restaurant nearby called Janwa Thai at Bandar Manjalara, Kepong. There were about five of us. IT was a great night out with slightly chilli hot dishes. What I like here best was their steamed Fish with Lime Broth over a hot sizzling plate. I have eaten many steamed lme fish, Janwa’s tasted really good.

Fish Cake
Fish Cakes

First came to the table was the lovely hai fish cakes. I just love them, it had a good tender texture. The fish paste used was fresh indeed as it was springy. The flavouring of Thai red curry paste can be easily detected in this dish. It goes so well with Thai sweet chilly sauce. While dining I can’t just help not noticing those beautifully crafted and colourful hand painted paper umbrellas embossed to the ceiling.

mango salad
Thai Green Mango Salad

Tangy and juicy finely sliced green mango was the main ingredeint used for out next dish, the Tahi Green Mango Salad. It was so appetising and really jive well with white rice. It was crunchy and spiked with crushed peanuts and a sweet and sauce sauce. Perfect!

tom yam
Tom Yam Seafood

Yom Yam Seafood Soup had a little refined touch. It was served with a unique petite authentic serving soup bowl, It tasted deliciously with a spike of fury heat. It had a very balance taste of sourish and sweetness in it while filled with seafood. Nice.

Pandan Chicken
Pandan Chicken

Well marinated chicken wrapped with pandan leafs was the next dish ordered. A frequent dishavailable at any Thai restaurant. Here it fair well, tasty and fragrantly flavoured. deli-cious.

belacan paku
“Belacan Paku” Stir Fried Green Fern with Shrimp Paste

Paku or green fern was yet another delicious diah to have, here we had it stir fried with tasty shrimp paste. It was lovely, crunchy and well flavoured. Gor-geous!
