Pappardelle Marche Renaissance Hotel Kuala Lumpur

Having to fork into this exquisite artisanal pasta was such a delight yet homemade, “something money can’t buy” I told myself. A rolled Italian flat pasta that cuts into a broad ribbon shape is called Pappardelle. Mine was filled with ragout of beef shin, green pea, oven dried tomato and gremolata. It was delicious prepared by chef.

I used to make this during my stay abroad, it was simple and lovely to dish into. while back in KL, I truly don’t have the time to make them but I found the one here, their Gnocchi was terrific. Cleverly infused with braised lamb shank, the whole dish came explosively fabulous. So tasty indeed. It builts up the intensity flavour of the Gnocchi itself. I found the presents of anchovies, olives and pecorino were truly interesting.

I saw the Ocean Trout seated comfortly across the table, looked smartly pan seared. I was intrigued with such delight, giving it a pinky smile as I am good in doing. Soft and moist it was. Great texture too and yet filled with tiger prawn, calamari fritti, bread salad and basil pesto. Gorgeous!

As for pairing I had a glass of Ruffino Orvieto Classico which slightly scented with ppear and apple. It truly went well with the Ocean Trout. I also tasted the lovely moist Tuscan Chicken which was prepared on wood fired. I just love the slightly hinted of the burning taste and smell. It was truly done to my liking. Simple and yet filled with flavour. I don’t mind having the whole chicken myself. :)

Chicken piccatta  Marche Renaissance Hotel Kuala Lumpur

Chicken Piccatta was well browned and the chicken was cooked well too. Texture was perfectly done to my liking and having the sauteed mushroom gave the dish more bursting of flavours. If you are into chicken dish then this one is a must order.

Lovely. It won the full admiration from the guests which included myself. Perfectly grilled lamb cutlets. The taste itself was superbly good, soft and was done in light pink inside. Taste of the balsamic infused such an interesting flavour to the finishing touch of the lamb cutlets. It was definitely a winning dish that won everyone’s heart that night.

The steak was acceptable as it was done neatly but it was a bit rough in texture for my liking. :)
