BIG BOYS OVEN Meets SOFIRA @ SULTAN LOUNGE, MANDARIN ORIENTAL HOTEL

AT SOFIRA’S LATEST COLLECTION

In February I got a call from Diyana and she requested me to get over to her place urgently as she needed me to assist her on her coming project at SOFIRA. I meet Diyana and Sofia at the studio that same day. They wanted BIGBOYSOVEN to bake lots of macarons, yes loads of them. Yes it was definitely exciting and fun too as  request was  to commission 1.000 pieces of macarons for  SOFIRA new line collection fashion show. The request was simple and yet elegant, coral and pink macarons filled with loads of white chocolate ganache.

Diana Faisal loves fashion, travel and interior design and in 2006 she founded of SOFIRA. The London fashion scene had caught her heart and interest as she grew up in the United Kingdom. Now she is in Kuala Lumpur with such an inspired at heart to create a clothing line made with the highest care and artistic pride and housing them in a quaint but elegant boutique in the heart of the city.

SOFIRA’s line ranges from Ready To Wear Tops, Dresses and Evening Wear to chic Resort Wear. Sofira is known for it’s detailing work and eye-catching prints. Now SOFIRA focus on Ready To Wear that is more edgy and contemporary which showcase a team of young designers with skillful artisans in the production team producing beautiful pieces that appeal across culture, age and boundaries and one of them is Judith Yeoh, a well known designer who represented the country at the Lancome Colour Design Awards 2006 in Paris.

This is the SOFIRA’s showroom at  off Jalan Ampang and below is me, me and me posing madly at Sultan Lounge, Mandarin Oriental Hotel, Kuala Lumpur. I looked so hip-hop and so cool right, what do you think?

The models were so cool cause they paraded the clothing so charmingly,  sophisticated and elegantly,  SOFIRA’s collection was explosively beautiful and elegant, I wish I could have one myself…………….sshhhhhhhhh! Oh yes that day I had boxed up nearly 200 macaron gift boxes and each box contained of 3 lovely macarons, all for SOFIRA’s guests to take home. The rest of the macarons were placed  in trays at the bar counter and SOFIRA’s display tables, it was fantastic! A great job done . . . . . love Sunny Yaw
