Rouleau Vanille au Fruits

I decided to bake something simple and lite. Yes, it is rouleau again. I baked a very basic japanese lite vanilla sponge jammed with light cream and mixed fruits. The sponge is fragranted with vanilla pod and texture of the sponge is moist and light.

I also decorated this rouleau with a piece of blood orange compote top with cranberries. The blood orange compote gave a sweet orangy taste to the rouleau.

    It definitely look like a swissroll but with loaded with cream~

    There you go with all your beautiful rouleau. I always have a problem when I roll them as they crack all the time but you seem to have the knack for it. Perfect!

    japanese lite vanilla sponge…i can imagine that with a dose of light cream…a nice blend of textures…lovely!
